How to Measure Your Bra Size

A good measurement is a starting point. Use a soft tape measure, stand comfortably, and check the real fit once you try on the size.

  1. Step 1

    Measure your band

    Wrap the tape around your ribcage directly under your bust. Keep it level and snug, then write down the number in inches.

  2. Step 2

    Measure your bust

    Measure around the fullest part of your bust. Keep the tape straight across your back without pulling it tight.

  3. Step 3

    Find your size

    Use your underbust and bust measurements in the calculator to estimate a starting size.

  4. Step 4

    Check the fit

    Try the size on and check the band, cups, straps, and center gore. Adjust with sister sizes when the cups are close but the band is not.

Common fit problems

Band rides up

Try a smaller band or the sister size with a snugger band.

Straps dig in

Loosen the straps first, then check whether the band is doing enough support work.

Gore does not lie flat

Try a larger cup or a style with a center gore shape that matches you better.

Between sizes?

If your measurement points to one size but the band or cup feels slightly off, compare sister sizes before starting over. They can help when the cup volume is close but the band needs a different feel.
